I’ve shared the highlights of our trip to the Maldives, including diving (with sharks!). Now I’m going to talk about our resort: Holiday Inn Kandooma Maldives. Or rather, I’m not going to write as much as let the pictures do the talking.
http://youtu.be/e3-EkmBy5-8Overall, we had a wonderful experience diving in the Maldives. There was just the one dive with the super-strong current (which our dive instructor told us was a “medium” current, to them). In the video above during the shark footage you can see all this plankton and other debris flying toward the camera.
Grey reef shark.Kail and I did 10 dives on our recent RRB in the Maldives. We spent a total of seven hours and 59 minutes underwater. Less than a year after receiving our PADI Open Water Diver certification (and about seven months after obtaining our Advanced Open Water Diver certification), we’ve completed 28 dives.
Kail and I recently returned from our second (of three) regional rest breaks (RRB). Where were we? Paradise. Otherwise known as the Maldives. The Maldives are an island nation on the Indian Ocean comprised of 26 atolls, ring-shaped chains of islands/reefs.
