The first time I carved a pumpkin was last year. As in, Halloween 2011, a week shy of my 28th birthday. How is this possible? I don’t know. It’s just not something we did in my household growing up. Costumes and trick-or-treating? Yes. Pumpkin patches and jack-o-lantern carving? No.
