I could seriously eat hummus and baba ghanoush and delicious breads everyday, for multiple meals, and not get tired of it. And I did, for the two weeks I was in Cairo. Did I mention I’m on a diet?
Zamalek and the Nile. One thing everyone told me I had to do in Cairo was go sailing on the Nile. Well, I didn’t do that. I tried, but the only option available at the time — on our last night in Cairo — was a motorized boat outfitted with neon lights and a loud sound system,Continue reading “Cairo | The Nile”

As part of my day tour of Cairo, we also visited Memphis, the capital city of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom some 5,000 years ago, and Sakkara, one of the most extensive archaeological sites inContinue reading “Cairo | Memphis & Sakkara”
The Great Pyramid of Giza.I recently had the opportunity to travel to Cairo, Egypt for for work. Even though it was a two-week trip, I didn’t have a lot of time for sightseeing, just one weekend and a few evenings here and there. I made the most of my time and got to see the highlights, including the PyramidsContinue reading “Cairo | Pyramids of Giza”
