As you might have guessed from my last post (and my sparse posting over the last couple weeks), I returned to Washington, DC for a mix of vacation and work. It was my first trip back to the United States since arriving in El Salvador seven months ago. It was so nice to be home.
One year later, still writing.I’ve been through A LOT of changes since starting this blog one year ago: I got married. I quit my job in DC. I learned a new language. I moved to El Salvador. I got a new job.

Womp womp.I did not get into the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in Washington, DC on April 28. I am bummed, but at least I saved $160!Per my backup plan, I also entered the lottery for the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run on April 7 — and I got in!
