Skinny arm pose. Always awkward.Kail and I attended our second Marine Corps Ball, celebrating the 240th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. It was a fun night and a good excuse to get dressed up!We attended our first Marine Ball in El Salvador the first year we moved there, and decided not to attend the second year because it was scaled back to be a less formal affair at the embassy cafeteria patio. We intended on going to the Marine Corps Ball last year in Afghanistan, but tickets sold out before we had a chance to buy them.Another highlight other than dressing up and dancing? Marine Ball souvenirs. This year, they were shot glasses made out of 30mm shell casings. They’ll pair nicely with our highball glasses from El Salvador’s ball.Happy 240th birthday, Marines!Have you ever attended a Marine ball?
